Can You Trust Your Workers’ Comp Doctor?

Many who have been injured at work question the intentions of their assigned physician(s), who holds in his hands the injured worker’s health and financial well-being. As in Georgia, most states give the power to select the injured worker’s treatment provider to the insurance company or even the employer itself, creating a potential conflict of interest: a medical practice that is provided with an ongoing revenue stream by an insurance company that may not have the best interest of the patient at heart.

Injured workers with even the most seemingly straightforward claims are encouraged to consult a workers’ compensation attorney for advice in navigating what has become, from a medical standpoint, a dangerous landscape in recent years.
